Every collection needs a jumping off point for inspiration. The leap for this Spring/Summer  collection happened during Joao Paulo’s Indian experience working in the fashion world of New Delhi, India. During the months there, he fearlessly immersed himself in every aspect of the culture. There were detailed techniques to garment design and fabric creation that blew his mind. Joao Paulo has tried to re-capture those techniques and use modern ideas as well. Joao Paulo was also greatly inspired in the detail of the prints used in suit linings and dresses in India and wanted to create his own fabrics; the prints he created are the framework for this collection.

Using Indian temples as the major inspiration, this luxurious collection has a mix of textures, fabrics and details. Using black and gold as the major colours, this collection is fully balanced with exclusive prints and fabrics made by Joao Paulo Guedes.

While the inspiration and design techniques may have originated during his Indian adventure, the shapes and silhouettes are inspired from Joao Paulo’s vision. They are definitely created for the metropolitan man and represent the new age of masculinity, adventure, individuality and glamour.
