Joao Paulo Guedes was the first winner of the Toronto Men's Fashion Week Emerging Menswear Designer Award in 2014 and one of the designers in the new TV Series 'Stitched' on Slice channel (Canada) and W Network (USA). His work has been featured in publications around the world, such as: Vogue Italia, Vogue UK, GQ Brazil, Elle Canada Man, Schon Magazine, etc.

He had the pleasure of designing for various celebrities during his fashion tenure, including Serge Ibaka, Festus Ezeli, Francesco Yates, Fritz Helder, Yoko Gold, Jade Houssouné, Ria Mae, Bruno Capinan, and more.

While working and developing his own brand, Joao Paulo Guedes worked as a Fashion Designer & Product Developer at various brands in Toronto's apparel industry including October's Very Own (OVO), Canada Goose, and Sears Canada where I was the Head Designer.

He is also one of the instructors at Toronto Fashion Academy and a Fashion Consultant & Freelance Designer for many local and international brands.

Guedes' designs are inspired by art, media and architecture. He takes these inspirations and creates his own custom prints that are then converted into his own unique style.

A supporter of local talent, Joao Paulo has collaborated with many artists, entrepreneurs and businesses to integrate fashion and art.
